Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

Account details: email address, password (stored scrambled, never readable), and whether you are an athlete or a coach.

Profile details you choose to add: name, photo, sport, position, height, weight, GPA, résumé, school or club, graduation class, years of eligibility, city and highlight videos or links.

Birth date, to confirm age. For athletes under 18, a parent or guardian's email address and their approval.

For college coaches, a school email address used to confirm where you work.

Activity in the app: likes, messages, saved lists, school lists, profile views, events you'll attend, reports and blocks.

Device details needed to send notifications.

Purchases are handled by Apple. We never see your card details.

2. How we use it

To show your profile to the right people, connect athletes and coaches, send notifications, keep the community safe, and run memberships.

Messages are scanned automatically for contact details, requests to meet, and inappropriate language, and RecruitUP staff can review any message to protect athletes.

3. Who can see your information

Members of RecruitUP can see the profile details you add. Your email, birth date, parent's email and private notes are not shown to other members.

Messages are visible only to the two people in the chat and to RecruitUP staff for safety review. For athletes under 18, the parent or guardian who approved them can also read their messages and see their likes and profile views in the parent view.

We use service providers to run the app (for example Supabase for data storage, Expo for notifications and Apple for payments). They may only use your information to provide their service.

We do not sell your information. We may share information with law enforcement when the law requires it or when we believe a minor is at risk.

4. Athletes under 18

RecruitUP is not for children under 13. Athletes from 13 to 17 need a parent or guardian's approval before their profile is shown, and only verified coaches can contact them. A parent account is linked to an athlete when its confirmed email matches the email the athlete entered for parent approval. A parent or guardian can ask us to see, correct or delete their child's information at any time.

5. Keeping your information safe

Information is sent over encrypted connections and stored on encrypted servers. Photos and videos are private files that open only for signed-in members.

6. Your choices

You can edit your profile at any time. You can delete your account in the app (Profile → Delete account), which permanently removes your profile, photos, videos, likes and messages.
